Bloganuary day 18! Today’s prompt is:
What book is next on your reading list?
Well, talk about a prompt to call me out! I know I’m not alone in having a to be read list that I won’t ever have any hope of actually finishing in my life. But no one has ever asked me what I’m going to read next! As luck would have it, I’ve also just finished reading Splendor and Spark by Mary Taranta, and I really am ready to move on to my “next”. But gosh, I’m terrible at picking my next read. I’m indecisive that way – there’s a trend here, I’m indecisive with most things haha.
Here’s where I’m stuck. I’m actually part way through reading the Tiger’s Curse series by Colleen Houck, I’m curious about Victoria Aveyard’s Realm Breaker, and book 2, The Becoming, of Nora Roberts’ The Dragon Heart Legacy series is out now. I’d also like to read the other YA Fantasy series that Nora Roberts wrote, along with the James Patterson YA series, and I’ve never read EarthSea by Ursula LeGuin.
How on earth do I make decisions like that?
But here goes, just for you and just because I like to follow instructions…
My next read shall be… Tiger’s Voyage. Book 3 of Colleen Houck’s Tiger’s Curse series. There, I’ve said. It’s in writing. I’m committed.
In typing up this post I’ve realized that I really do need to finish what I’ve started, so that’s why I chose that one. Which of course with that line of thinking is actually tying me into 3 more books because there’s 5 in the series. But maybe it’s best if I don’t have to think about what my next read will be for a while!
